ARTIST STATEMENT:
I love working with squares, color and lines converging and relating to each other. Light interacting with dark, color against color and the comfort of structure draw me in as an artist.
I love experimenting with color and different mediums and being creative. My art conveys my impressions of places I’ve travelled, emotions I’ve experienced and stimulates dialogue.
My hope is that my paintings transform homes and give joy to those that own one of my pieces.

Lianna Klassen is an award winning, Celtic/world influenced musician, based out of Montreal, Quebec.
Lianna is self taught and began painting 10 years ago as a way to be creative outside her normal sphere of music and songwriting. Since moving to Montreal, she has begun to explore different mediums and enjoys working with different textures. Her work often reflects the influence and diversity stemming from her travels as a musician across North America, Europe and Africa.
Her work is spontaneous, colorful and affordable and a welcome addition in any home. She will gladly take commissions.
Lianna lives in Old Montreal, Quebec with her husband.
